Stability AI Brings Image Services to Amazon Bedrock, Delivering End-to-End Creative Control with Enterprise-Grade Infrastructure

Today, we're excited to announce we’re expanding our partnership with Amazon Web Services to bring our Stable Image Services to Amazon Bedrock.

Summary

Stability AI has made its Image Services available as managed API endpoints on Amazon Bedrock, extending an existing partnership with AWS. The services package nine image-editing tools as callable APIs, allowing developers to integrate targeted editing functions into enterprise applications without operating separate infrastructure.

The tools fall into two workflow categories. Edit tools perform precise, localized changes while preserving overall composition; they include Inpaint, Erase Object, Remove Background, Search and Replace, and Search and Recolor. Control tools generate structured variations, such as converting a sketch into a finished image or applying a new style while retaining subject geometry; they comprise Structure, Style Transfer, Style Guide, and Sketch.

These editing capabilities complement the image-generation models already offered on Bedrock, including Stable Diffusion 3.5, Stable Image Core, and Stable Image Ultra. Together they support iterative pipelines that begin with concept generation and proceed through successive refinements, rather than requiring complete regeneration at each step. Amazon Bedrock’s managed environment supplies the associated security, compliance, and scaling features required for production use.

Large customers such as Mercado Libre and HubSpot already run image-generation and editing workloads on the platform. Access requires enabling the Stability AI models in the Bedrock console and configuring appropriate IAM policies; the resulting endpoints integrate directly with existing content-management and digital-asset systems.

Why it matters

This update is highly relevant for product teams and builders as it provides direct API access to advanced image editing tools on a major enterprise cloud platform (AWS). Dutch AI practitioners can leverage these services to build secure, compliant, and scalable creative workflows within their existing infrastructure.
