NVIDIA technologies now account for more than 400 entries on the latest TOP500 list of the world’s fastest supercomputers, representing 81 percent of the ranking and an increase of 17 systems since the previous edition. Nearly nine out of ten newly added machines rely on NVIDIA components, reflecting a clear preference for platforms that combine AI workloads with traditional simulation and scientific computing. Across the full list, these systems deliver more than twice the aggregate AI training throughput and nearly three times the inference performance of all competing platforms combined.

GPU acceleration appears in a record 238 systems, while NVIDIA networking connects 376, predominantly through Quantum InfiniBand. CPU involvement has also grown: the Grace processor is now deployed in 26 machines, with nearly 2.5 million units shipped to date. Several Grace-based installations lead both performance and efficiency rankings, including JUPITER at position five on the TOP500 and KAIROS at first place on the Green500, where it achieves 73.3 gigaflops per watt. These systems use the Grace Hopper Superchip, which pairs the CPU and GPU to share memory with low overhead, addressing the data-movement demands of large AI models.

The same architecture underpins a record 35 new AI-focused HPC installations now under construction across Europe. Once complete, they will serve more than three million researchers working on continental-scale AI, climate modeling, brain mapping at cellular resolution, and next-generation wireless research such as 6G. The first Blackwell-generation systems have already entered the TOP500 in Asia, Europe, and the United States, while additional national AI factories are being deployed in regions including South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
